Every Tuesday morning the whole school gathers in the gym to recite the Pledge of Allegiance and sing the Star Spangled Banner. We are very proud of how well our students sing the words and the respect that they show the flag.

We also teach about citizenship through our Kids Voting program. The 1st graders in our room will be learning about our country and being good citizens.

During the lead-up to election time our class learned about the state and national candidates. We registered to vote as part of the Kids Voting program. On election day the children were able to vote at their own special polling place right next to their parents. Click on the dolls below to learn about our own classroom election.
